Why do my clients come to see me?

Most of my clients come to see me for help with anxiety – because that’s what I specialise in.

Sometimes they have experienced severe physical symptoms of anxiety which have become unbearable over time; blushing, sweating, IBS, insomnia, a racing heartbeat, lack of concentration etc can all be overwhelming. Often they have been avoiding certain places, situations or people, and stop themselves achieving their goals and enjoying life.

They often describe how they have held themselves back at work or even socially, due to worry about what others might think of them. As a result they don’t apply for jobs they are capable of doing and miss out on new relationships and opportunities in life.

Underlying their anxiety they will often have negative beliefs about the world and about themselves and sadly they get locked into allowing these negative beliefs to limit their lives; what is even sadder is that often they aren’t even aware of the negative beliefs. But a belief is not necessarily true and is certainly not a fact!

Often negative beliefs are unconsciously created in order to protect us from previous unpleasant experiences happening again but unfortunately this need to feel protected can actually do the opposite, causing us to miss out on life by not going after what we want.

Nearly all my clients notice a real improvement in 4-6 sessions and not only are they more relaxed but have an increasing confidence in themselves and their abilities.
